Plantronics Blackwire 3320 headset
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

All the call center agents haves this configuration below, but they exhibit different behaviors regarding the incoming call indicator: The 3-beeps sequence  (Sound like "dou tou lou".)

  • Headset:        Plantronics Blackwire 3320
  • Softphone:   Cisco Jabber

- The majority do not hear the 3 beeps whent they answer via Cisco Jabber. However, when they answer using the button on the small box on the headset cable, the 3 beeps are activated on all subsequent calls, regardless of where they answer.  So, to stop the 3 beeps on incoming call, they unplug and plung the cable from laptop's USB ports.

- There are cases where they still hear the 3 beeps on each call.

- If the headset is connected to a docking station (lenovo dooking stattion ubs-c for example), then the 3 beeps are heard on every call regardless of where they answer.

In short, we are looking to remove the 3 beeps.

  • We have installed Plantronics Hub and performed the update. (No option for "sound notification")
  • We have installed PolyLens and performed the update. (No option for "sound notification")
  • We have reset the laptop's USB ports. No change.

Can you help us?

ps: We have purchased a batch of blackWire 3320 headset. Changing them would not be a good solution 🙂

thanks

Hi @Sebas_CC_1, Welcome to the Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Backwire 3320 headset. I understand how important it is to have a reliable and fully functional headset, and I appreciate your patience as we work through this.

To help troubleshoot the issue, I kindly recommend following the steps below:

  1. Firmware Update:
Please ensure the headset firmware is up to date using the Poly Lens application on your PC.
  2. Default Device Settings:
Confirm that the headset is set as the default audio device on both your PC and softphone application.
  3. Test with Other Applications:
Try using the headset with different platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom to help isolate the issue.
  4. Windows Sound Settings:
If you're using a Windows PC, go to
Sound Settings > More Sound Settings > Communications tab, and select "Mute all other sounds."
  5. Driver Reinstallation:
Open Device Manager, locate the Blackwire 3320 driver, uninstall it, then restart your PC. After rebooting, reconnect the headset and test again.

Thank you, Salman, for your recommendations. Unfortunately, the problem is still present. Going back to the basics: Are the 3 beeps normal or not?"
