HP ENVY 23-d160qd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

1.   I can not get into the system at all when I turned on my HP ENVY 23-d160qd TouchSmart All-in-One CTO Desktop PC nothing happens just a black screen can not access anything when this started I was reading my emails and computer went to black screen with following error message -- ERROR No boot device found- or hd has failed. tried to enter diagnostics to run  Hard Disk test but went back to Black screen and has been there ever since. I resetting memory,bios, cmos, had hd checked found hd bad. I purchased new drive and installed it but still unable to get into system.   

 

2.    Can I connect a new HD (retail) to a laptop via USB and then with a bootable USB do a clean install of Windows 10 to the NEW hd without messiing up my laptop?
