Older Desktop machine that came with Windows 7 has been updated to Windows 10. my "Generic - SD/MMC USB Device" which is a card reader doesn't function. I suspect I need to replace the driver with one that is known to work. When I try to update the driver I get the message: "Windows has determined that the best driver for this device is already installed". I have no clue WHICH driver to use or WHERE to find it. The "Hardware Ids" under its property in the details pane is as follows:
USBSTOR\DiskGeneric-SD/MMC__________1.00
USBSTOR\DiskGeneric-SD/MMC__________
USBSTOR\DiskGeneric-
USBSTOR\Generic-SD/MMC__________1
Generic-SD/MMC__________1
USBSTOR\GenDisk
GenDisk
Can someone P L E A S E help me? I can't upload any photo's from my camera into my desktop machine... I also have a generic card reader that I've plugged into and tried ALL of the several USB 2.0 plugs. None of those work either.
