HP Recommended
Pavilion 23
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Losing my mind here.

Need to connect a MacBook Pro OS 10.13 to the HP Pavilion 23 monitor with WINDOWS 10.

I have purchased two connectors, one a J5 converter, and the other an HDMI cable (with hdmi on both ends). I connect the one hdmi to the back through the converter. This only has usb in the back, no hdmi in the back, hence the converter.

Problems:

The HP system says this model computer does not allow another monitor,  but that can't be true...?
Then, do I use the Thunderbolt port on the left side of the MacBook, or the HDMI port on the right side?

The package from J5Create says it works on Windows 10, which I have.

Youtube videos make it look easy but it doesn't seem to be.

HP support really should take phone calls.

Thanks.
