ProDesk 400 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot use the CD/DVD Optical drive because the drawer won't open. Pressing the drawer release button has no effect.

If I open the drawer using the paper-clip in hole method, insert a disk and close the drawer nothing happens. The drive light never comes on. Upon opening the drawer with the paper-clip I see the disk is not spinning.

In Device Manager the drive appears under DVD/CD-ROM Drives as hp DVDRAM GTA0N. Properties says the device is working properly. I have uninstalled and automatically reinstalled the device.

The drive does not appear in File Manager.

It appears to be a hardware problem but is there a way to confirm without actually replacing the drive?
