Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

(truthfully, I don't know if it's windows 10 32 or if it's 64...)

Have been using my laptop to watch netflix on TV for about a month now, by connedting the display port on the laptop to the HDMI 3 port on the tv via display port to HDMI cable.  Worked like a charm until today.  Laptop does not seem to recognize that there is a cable plugged in (No little noise or pop-up as there was in the past) and the TV is not getting a signal.  The ONLY out of the norm thing that has happened is that my laptop accidentally got unplugged overnignt and the battery was dead this morning.  Other that that, nothing unusual.
I've powered down, unplugged, powered back up with the cable both pluggged in and unplugged.  I also just installed a new graphics driver from the HP site (sp92183.exe) - nothing.

Any advice is appreciated - I'm not a computer guru, so the simpler the language/instruction, the better!

Thanks in advance!
