E243m connected to EliteDesk 800 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have a batch of 4 brand new EliteDesk 800 G4 with E243m 24" monitors connected via DisplayPort. They all randomly go blank for a split second and then picture appears again (some more often others less). Some loop between blank and picture for a few seconds then stop. The displays are all set in native resolution with default settings. All of the latest updates have been installed (Windows 10 and hp, including BIOS). This happens randomly: everything may work fine for an hour or 2 and then suddenly the screen goes blank while writing or simply doing nothing for a second or so. The monitor power LED stays blue.

As this happens with 3 out of 4 monitors and all PCs are identical we are wondering if this is a synch problem or defect of the monitors. We have no other DP monitors with which we can test/swap out to see if it is monitor or VGA related.

Any hints? I have opened a case with hp but have yet to hear from them.

Thanks for any feedback.

24/10/2018 Update:

I changed refresh frequency from 59p to 60p and 50p and the problem persists.

5-11-2018 Update:

I ended up having 2 of them replaced. Apparently they were defective. The other 2 seem to work ok and are not manifesting the issue.
