E273m

Hey ladies, just after I received my first EliteDisplay E273m, I got problems with the built-in audio system, where the audio sounds completely distorted. I initially connected the display through its USB3 to the USB-c connector to a Windows 10 2004 64bit Desktop PC. Then, I connected the mini-jack audio cable to the rear output port on the desktop and to the input port on the display. Changed the audio output from the Windows menu and the issue was still there. So I decided to eventually download any driver and firmware update. Nothing changed.

In a desperate way, I unplugged the display from the Desktop PC and connected via the HDMI cable to an HP Zbook 14u G6. The problem of distorted audio, was still there. I repacked all the stuff, and asked for a replacement. HP sent the new unit quite immediately, thank you guys, but...

After one or two hours of working, the new E273m unit started to show again the same distorted audio issue. I was broken and tried to shut down the display via the power button on the back. Unplug the power, turn it on and after 5 seconds turn it off again. Replug the power cord and turn it on and, magically, the sound issue was disappeared.

I'm now going to ask for a second replacement unit, but this time I'm not sure I will buy it again. I just wanted to share my experience with all you, while understanding if ultimately you had the same flaw with your units.
