Hi team!

I have an EliteOne 1000 G2 that has begun to have "power problems".

At first it would power on VERY quickly - touch the button and it would be ready in seconds.

Now this does not work - ever.

If i hold the power button for 10seconds or so, it will come on BUT not give me a logon screen.   The screen stays dark, the LED's are out, and the fan starts to ramp up.   Leave it a few seconds and its noisy.

Press the power off, then back on again, and most times it will take me to the logon screen no problems.

Sometimes i need to unplug / replug the power lead.

I have checked using the support assistant and it has all the updates it needs.

One other thing, it seems that it works better if i press the front left corner of the base unit while pressing the on/off button, and it can creak when i do this..............does not sound too good to me (especially when this never happened previously).

Has ANYONE seen this problem before, and if so, what was done to resolve?

Lastly, it still has 29 months of warranty, so if there is no quick fix, will ask HP to send a tech to investigate - would rather save this time though if there is something already known about this.

Cheers,

John
