Getting the HP3DScan5 working on the HP Sprout G1 pro

I have divided my problem into a couple of posts, as although they have the same goal, the problems are very different. 

I have a HP Sprout Pro G2, with a capture stage., but the software for 3d scanning is a complete waste of time and a bit of a novelty.. Not what I bought the HP Sprout for in 2016, I bought it to explore 3d scanning and always just put buying the sprout down to being a complete mistake. 

I have recently been using David5 scanning software on other kit elsewhere and wished something like it was available on the sprout. 

Then I found out that HP bought out David and this is now known as HP 3D Scan 5!

So I downloaded the trial and installed it. 

On the setup page, there is an option of HP Sprout, but if I select it, it says "can't find SOHAL service. 

Which might be something the G1 is missing, as the sprout G2 seems to have a download in the marketplace ap store for this software, but not in the G1 appstore. 

I can set it up as a custom setup, but says it can't connect to the turntable. 

Which having researched this is because the software will only recognise the HP Capture stage is you have a HP Sprout selected in the setup page. 

Has anyone managed to get this working on the HP Sprout G1? 

Is there a way of getting the SOHAL Service running on the G1? 

Has anyone got this running on the G2 and happy to answer some questions about their setup, such as if there is a SOHAL service running on their pc, or as folders on their pc? 

As well as this I would love to know if when this software was downloaded did it say it was running in trial mode until they selected HP Sprout in the setup page? 

Or is there someone from hp here who could send me the files that download from the G2 ap store for the HP3DScan5 software which is free there? 

I would really appreciate anyone's help on this
