Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r025m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just set-up this new PC (replacing an Envy 23 AIO)... and it really is a great replacement! The sound input works (the primary reason I had to upgrade -- the old Envy wouldn't support sound coming in over HDMI under Win 10).

A couple of things are really bugging me (and my sig. other, who is the primary user of this computer - as - a - TV in the kitchen)...

1. When putting the computer to sleep, it then switches over to the HDMI input on its own. This is not good in our case because DISH broadcasts a "screen saver" image that can't be disabled while it's "off" (standby mode). That requires the user to put the PC to sleep, wait 5 seconds, then put the HDMI input to sleep (by pushing it).

2. When switching over to HDMI, the volume _ALWAYS_ comes on at 100. There is no way to control the volume other than going to the keyboard, pressing ENTER to get to the HDMI video/audio controls, then arrow-down to volume, then left-right arrow to set the volume. This doesn't persist and has to be done every time.

Previously, the volume controls on the keyboard - on on a FLIRC IR USB receiver - would work (on Envy 23 with Win 8). I've loaded the FLIRC drivers and the IR remote works brilliantly when in computer mode -- just not in HDMI mode.

So I guess I'm asking for two things - (1) don't auto-power up the HDMI unless pressing the button and (2) allow computer volume controls (via USB IR or keyboard) without going through the HDMI menu-based (many keyboard presses) method. And remember the last setting between uses.
