Product: Z 240 Tower Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I called HP Support and they specified the HP 15-in-1 internal card reader (G1S79AA) as one that would work. I installed it using the USB 3.0 20 pin to USB 2.0 9 pin adapter cable that comes with the reader. Connected it next to the 11 pin on the the motherboard next to the one occupied 20 pin USB 3.0 as discussed with HP support. But I can’t get the computer to recognize the reader or any card I insert into it.
Is is there a driver I need to install? The connection on the motherboard looks like an 11 pin but adapter cable is only 9pin and leaves 2 pins exposed and unconnected.
Any my ideas on next steps?
