Greetings.
I'm trying to help a friend save his monitor.
It's an HP 23es 23-inch Display manufactured in May 2016.
With Product No: T3M74AA
Assembly Part No.: 840852-001.
Rev.: RIM111
The DC pcb connector adapter doesn't make a proper connection.
If I exert a bit of force pushing the power adaptor plug it will conduct electricity and will work if not moved.
If the cable is moved in the slightest the connection is lost and the monitor powers down.
The power plug is in good shape, the cables are healthy, nothing broken with the power plug itself.
Does someone know the type of this DC power connector?
I thought about replacing that part and see if it fixes it.
Everything else with the monitor works fine.
it's a beautiful display and it would be a waste to trash it just because of that.
Thanks for your time.
