Last night, when I scanned my HP ProDesk 400 G1 SFF, ESET told me that a virus (uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A) is present !!!
Then, I downloaded the HP official BIOS (L02_0253.BIN, from sp88064) and copied into USB. After rebooting, I updated the BIOS to version 2.53 successfully, but, when I scanned the computer again, the abovementioned virus still exists !!!
After that, I scanned the USB containing the HP official BIOS (L02_0253.BIN), and surprisingly I was told that the HP official BIOS (L02_0253.BIN) contained the abovementioned virus !!!
By experimenting other previously launched HP official BIOS, I was told that all of them contained the same virus !!!!!
The following is the scanning result :
C:\SWSETUP\SP72233\DOS Flash\L02_0245.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\SP72233\HPQFlash\ROM.CAB > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\SP72233\ROM.CAB > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\SP77882\DOS Flash\L02_0249.BIN > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\SP77882\HPQFlash\ROM.cab > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\SP77882\L02.CAB > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp76380\DOS Flash\L02_0247.BIN > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp76380\HPQFlash\ROM.CAB > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp76380\L02.CAB > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp84932\DOS Flash\L02_0251.BIN > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp84932\HPQFlash\rom.cab > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp84932\L02.cab > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp88064\DOS Flash\L02_0253.BIN > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp88064\HPQFlash\rom.cab > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
C:\SWSETUP\sp88064\L02_0253.cab > CAB > Rom.bin > UEFI > uefi:\\Volume 1\AbsoluteDriver - EFI/CompuTrace.A - A variant of a potentially unsafe application
Can Administrator of this HP Support section tell me whether the official BIOS incorporated with virus or not ?
Please also tell me what I can do to solve this problem.
Thank you very much.
