HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0502sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear All,

I am trying to use my USB Type C port to connect an external monitor to my HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0502sa (the HDMI port is already in use for another monitor).

My PC:

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c06468341

External Ports:

1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (5 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge); 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (HP Sleep and Charge); 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only); 1 AC smart pin; 1 HDMI; 1 headphone/microphone combo

The cables I bought:

My Device Manager (USB) tab:

The issue:

When I plug the USB Type C in the Laptop nothing happens, literally nothing. I tried to set the device manager tab to Device by Connection (View > Device by connection) and plug the USB C in, but nothing happens. Basically, it is like the computer is detecting nothing at all.

Troubleshooting performed:

- Update drivers.

- Ticked off all "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"  in the USBs power management tab.

- Pressed the power button for 30 seconds to reset it.

- Check USBs were enabled in the BIOS.

Additional Information:

- Standard USB ports work perfectly.

- USB Type C port works perfectly too!

- Both Monitors work perfectly.

- I am getting crazy

Update:

If I press F2 at the start and I try to perform diagnosis on the USBs ports I get the following message:

USB type-C port on the graphics card is not currently supported

I hope you can help me

Kind regards,

Simone
