Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

We have several models of this exact display, all using displayport and displayport to usb-c. The displays connecting to usb-c have intermittent flickering. We've updated the firmware to the graphics cards, reseated cabling, replaced cabling, etc.

I'm aware of the known issue with these displays referenced in this HP Support Article - however, when attempting to run the file to download the updated firmware version to resolve this issue, it fails immediately with the simple error "Firmware Update Fail", which as you can imagine is not very helpful.

Is there a direct download to the firmware needed rather than running the firmware tool? I'm seeing many posts about this firmware update failing for several others. The organization I'm working with cannot continue to have this issue and we need a resolution! (switching to HDMI would be a simple but an expensive resolution, hence why we have yet to do so) 🙄
