Dear All,
I have HP Harmon Kardon 3.5 MM Multimedia speakers. It has a 3.5 mm jack connector. For some unknown reason, the speakers do not work. I even tested the speakers by connecting it to my cellphone and another laptop, but no success. The light on the speaker powers on, but no sound comes in.
I have a computer that has a 3.5 mm audio jack on the front of it. If I plug headphones into it, the audio properly plays through the headphones, and if I plug in external speakers it used to play through them as well. The audio no longer plays through the speakers, but if I plug in the headphones instead it works.
Troubleshooting steps that I tried:
1. Checked the power connection to the speakers.
2. Updated the audio drivers of my PC.
3. Updated the Realtek audio driver to the latest version.
I have a Windows 8 OS. The speakers earlier had worked fine. The sound would come in from at least one speaker, but then suddenly it stopped abruptly.
Kindly suggest what may be wrong. The speakers do not have any physical damage. This is the subwoofer. I have two more speakers along with it
I have attached the picture of the speaker for your reference.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Niteesh
