Greetings,
I'm seeking more information about the security of HP's wireless keyboards. HP says that the connection between the keyboard and the USB receiver is protected with 128-bit AES encryption. Does this encryptino key get regenerated every pairing/connection, or is it a fixed hardware key? Is it possible for an attacker to buy a similar device and use their receiver to attack my connection? Wireless keyboards have come under attack often and I want to make sure that this one uses a sound protocol. Bluetooth may have its issues but it seems to have at least standardized its security protocols and the latest seem to be fairly secure... HP uses a proprietary methodology. Is there more documentation on this ?
Thank you
