Pavilion 32q

I have a Pavilion 32q monitor that has been used in my mother's home for the past year. It's a $400 monitor that hasn't been moved since I placed it there. All of a sudden, there are pink horizontal lines on the screen. If I unplug the monitor, the lines still exist, so I know it isn't the computer. I am just out of warranty and can't find anyone to fix it. How/where can I take this? My mom is 80 and it is her only connection to the world. Literally. She hasn't been out of her home in 50 weeks. Thanks in advance.
