Z8 G4 - Z3Z16AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just bought a lovely HP Z8 G4 workstation that came with a NVMe adapter in the "personality slot" (?) with a 480GB drive in it.

I've removed a nearly-new Sabrent 2TB Rocket NVMe drive from my old machine, and installed it in the G4 tower.  I used all anti-static precautions, and seated the heatsink properly, of course.

Initially, it worked just fine.  However, just one day later, the drive has disappeared completely.  I've removed it and put it back in the original PC and it's not visible there, either.

At the risk of sounding stupid, those drive slots aren't 'non-standard' in any way, are they?  They don't require HP-specific parts, do they?

Thank you!
