Product: HP Pavilion 27-inch FHD IPS Monitor with LED Backlight

When I plug the monitor in there is a light that lights up next to where the power cord is plugged in, however, the power button on the underside of the monitor does not light up and is unresponsive when pressed. 

 

The light that lights up is next to where the power cord plugs into the monitor and would suggest that the monitor is receiving power. The on/off symbol on the front, just above the power button, does not light up and again the power button is unresponsive.

 

Let me know if you have any troubleshooting ideas
