This is a similar post to
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Wireless-and-Networking/No-Wireless-in-HP-ProDesk-400-G5-Micro...
The main web page for my new PC https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=7EM49EA&opt=ABU&sel=DTP&p=b-latest-desktop-offers doesn't list WiFi
It just has
Expansion slots note 1 M.2 slot for WLAN and 1 M.2 2230/2280 slot for storage.
The storage slot is obviously used for the SSD.
However the link for technical details
https://www8.hp.com/h20195/V2/GetPDF.aspx/4aa7-5844eee
Does have
Communications
LAN: Realtek RTL8111HSH-CG GbE ; WLAN: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 9560 802.11ac (2x2) and Bluetooth® M.2
PCIe®, non-vPro™
Anyway, it doesn't.
My main reason for posting is that the links kindly provided by @REO51ST don't seem to work for me. I can find details of the Intel Wireless M.2 card without any issues, but I'm not sure whether I need a particular antenna kit to work in the ProDesk.
The hardware reference guide http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06516346
Gives details on how to replace the WLAN card and the antenna, but it doesn't give part numbers.
It would be great if the documentation for the PC gave useful part numbers, it would save lots of time. The option module that came with my machine was the VGA one and a USB-C would be much more useful and it took quite a bit of searching to find a part number for one of those. Also the Display Ports don't talk to the DP capable monitor I want the system to use it with, most DP->HDMI adaptors and cables only give me 1920x1080 instead of 2560x1440, even ones which claim to be 4K capable. I happened to have an HP 778968-001 DP to HDMI converter and that seems to work OK, I'm hoping that an HP 943A62L works too. But it would be great to have a list of converters known to work OK.
