HP Pavilion 27-n100 All-in-One Desktop PC series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

System Specs:

My system is an HP Pavilion, model # 27-n190st, "all in one".

OS is Windows 10 Home;

Processor: Intel Core i7-6700T CPU 2.hGHz;

System type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor

Product #: P2N43AV#ABA

Display Adapters: 1) AMD Radeon R7 A360 and 2) Intel(R) HD Graphics 530

Issue: after system is not used for a while and goes into sleep/hibernate mode, when you want to use the system again, moving the mouse or touching a key used to "re-awaken" the system - the monitor would turn on and the computer would be available for use after a short period.

As of a few months ago, moving the mouse (or touching a key) causes the system to sound like it is awakening because I can hear the drive spinning and "system noises"... however, the monitor does not turn on. Instead, the monitor flickers briefly with a display of a strange image, like a "test pattern" where all pixels seem to be lit with a soft white glow. The image disappears immediately and then the monitor goes black. The system continues to make sounds but the monitor is black.

The only way to get the monitor to display is to power cycle the system.

The keyboard and mouse Power Management settings are both set to "Allow this device to wake the computer."

I see several successful fixes from you forum so I'm asking can I please get help from a technician who understands and explain how to make the same fix on this particular system?

I would be very grateful for help resolving this issue.
