HP Z30i Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a curious difficulty with one of my HP Z30i monitors. I have three of them and they have all been bought back in 2014. They have been working fine (and are working fine with older HP 800 workstation with Quadro 200 graphic card. I've been using those monitors with DisplayPort connections even before, and this is actually significant.

With new workstation, custom built HP Z4 with Quadro P2000 graphic card, one of the monitors is giving me troubles, as there is only one way I can persuade it to work through DisplayPort (adapters and DP to DVI and/or HDMI are out of the question as I can't run them to the full resolution, which is basically the reason why we've actually bought them 4 years ago.

What I've gathered so far is that, although sold in a bundle, one of the monitors is actually good 3 months older (February 2014) than the other two (May 2014). Firmware on montiors is actually different LIMM01 on the older one, LIMM02 on the newer two. This means that the older one is missing one menu item that seems to be a choice between DP 1.1 and DP 1.2.

So, I cannot use this older monitor to its fullest potential, unless, and this sounds completely ridiculous, I connect another monitor on the computer (so, now I'd have to have 4) and do it in the following order:

DP slot 1 on graphic card: "Newer" HP Z30i 1

DP slot 2 on graphic card: "Newer" HP Z30i 2

DP slot 3 on graphic card: New, smaller HP monitor

DP slot 4 on graphic card: "Older", problematic HP Z30i

All monitors use DP to DP cables.

In essence, I guess, my question is, how can we update firmware on the problematic HP Z30i monitor, if this is even possible? If it is not possible, any other suggestions would be more than welcome.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to chip in.
