HP Remote Control TSGH-IR02
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Gentlemen,

I need some information regarding compatible USB receivers for an HP remote control Model # TSGH-IR02. Things I've read about this elsewhere are not very clear.

Firstly, will this remote only work with specialized Media Center Edition computers or does it work with any computer that has Media Center installed? If it only works with Media Center model computers then I can't use it, so there's no sense in proceeding. But if it works with any computer that has Media Center installed we can move on.

Are there only a few specific models that can be used, or will any generic USB IR receiver do? I have two USB receivers already -- a HP (# 5219URF (RX1)) and a Logitech (# C-BG17 Dual) -- but they are both receivers that came with IR mouse/keyboard combo's and so might respond only to that hardware.

This remote works with the Microsoft eHome driver. Is this something that is native to Windows Vista and above, or does it need to be downloaded from Microsoft?

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

Grant
