Same problem here. Really frustrating. In log you can see that display adapter has been updated couple of days ago:

After that update resolution has  changed and you can't change it back - BAD!

I tried to remove drivers and install again, but it did not work - SAD!

 

HP must fix this problem ASAP - this computer is useless at this moment.
