HP Slim Desktop S01-pf0320nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I believe it went wrong already some time ago, and possibly after one of the Windows 10 upgrades. But the microphone connected with the Line-in at the rear of the desktop stopped working. The speakers connected to the Line-out work fine. I first thought it was the microphone itself, but buying a new microphone and connecting it did not solve the problem. I have already tried all available HP diagnostic tests but no success.

I noticed that the Line-in driver (Realtec(R) Audio) event info messages shows: "Device SWD\MMDEVAPI\{0.0.1.00000000}.{aedb0b20-240b-4fe3-a61c-fd96a0f50ebe} was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match." but I do not know whether this is the possible cause of the problem.

Any hints or tips are most welcome!

Cees.
