HP Z6 G4 workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to get this GPU working. I tried installing into the primary PCie slot (where my 2080 super has been working previously). I have an external PSU to provide the 3rd 8 pin power. When I try to power on I get the 3 long beeps followed by the 3 short beeps and nothing else happens. I was hopeful that there would not be any PCIe V3 vs V4 issues but now wondering.

I tried the same setup in an MSI gaming PC with PCIe V3 and it never boots either.  I guess it could be a bad GPU, brand new from Newegg.

Any advice is appreciated.

thx
