This has been an adventure so far on finding out if I can take full advantage of the NVMe speeds and also boot from the NVMe ssd. First of all, it appears NVMe BIOS support is only for Win10 after looking at the BIOS updates for the OS. I planned to do a clean install of 10 pro anyway.

The label next to the alleged M.2 connector Socket 3 as follows: M.2_2_SSD).

To me it looks like it only supports M.2 SATA3 6.0 Gb/s module and M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen2 x2 (10 Gb/s)

I sent back a Samsung 960 Pro nvme because of this. Really irritating that HP does not provide a motherboard manual for this machine. Was not cheap.

Can anyone shed light on this. Can one of the HP lurkers look at the Pegatron Manual and tell me. I contacted them and here is their answer:

Hello Joe,

Thanks for your email, however due to confidential agreement we cannot support you the information, you still have to find help through HP.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good Morning,

I seem to be having hard time getting a motherboard manual and specs for a board in an HP computer. HP's supplied info is minimum at best. The model is IPB-17  (rev 1.04 ) in a HP ENVY 750-175se CTO desktop. Micro-ATX form factor.
Can you email or direct me to a website for information?

Thank you for your assistance

Any insight would be appreciated. Better yet, send me a motherboard manual.
