Was on tech support with a windows specialist called Paul W. Spent 3 hours with him trying all sorts of solutions but nothing worked. Even tried reinstalling windows 10. Might not be a windows issue. I did update my drivers using the hp support assistant.
I updated my drivers, only to find that the port (headphones and mic symbol) I use for my headphones doesn't work anymore. The pc doesn't detect it, it just uses my speakers when it's plugged in.
My second port (headphones symbol) worked the same before, it works but there's a ringing sound that plays so I don't like using it. The specialist tried tweaking the audio quality and frequency but the ringing sound won't go away. I would like to get my first port to work again.
