z-600
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am in the process of buying a Z-600 with a Boot Block date of 1/7/2010 which if I understand the discussion I will be able to upgrade to 2 X5680's (which I already own).

I have bought/returned a Z-600 with the older Boot Block date.  While I had it, I tested it with the load I will be using on the "new improved" Z-600.  The CPUs that were installed ran very "hot" above 85C.  Those were 95-watt TDP CPUs.

So I am looking for "higher performance" CPU coolers.  The "high performance" z-600 coolers I have found top $250/cpu.  That is way out of my budget range.

So assuming that I really do need something better than the stock CPU coolers, what CPU cooler(s) are you using that don't cost an arm and a leg?  I need both the make and the model as well as part number (if possible).

The Z-600 case is a little smaller than the Z-400 so I probably can't just get "any old" LGA 1366 socket CPU cooler.

Thank you,

Tom
