HP Recommended
t520 Thin Client
Unknown

Hi Everyone,

I recently got a used t520 thin client on ebay that came without an operation system installed. It works fine and I successfully installed Debian 10 on it. However, it came with a french BIOS (L41 v01.03) so I'd like to re-flash it.

I located the L41 BIOS file (sp87274.exe) on the HP support page and unpacked the content. First, I tried to run the Linux update tool (L41_0111_LnxX64) on the Debian 10 system but only got many error messages – the last one saying my  bios-image was corrupted. Maybe the tool only works in ThoinPro but not a current Debian version?

Next, I tried going the UEFI update route as indicated in UefiFlash.txt. However, I did not manage to boot into the EFI shell as instructed. How do I do that?

Can anyone give me a hint on how to proceed, please?
