HP w2207
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi there, I have a w2207 monitor that I have hooked up with my laptop as a second monitor, and I can see that the monitor is on (power button is lit up) and is detected by the laptop (monitor settings for the w2207 can be changed in "System Preference"), but the screen remains black.

Sometimes, after couple to few hours after I keep the w2207 monitor connected to my laptop, it unexpectedly comes on, and it works fine after that as long as I have the monitor connected...but once I unplug the monitor from the laptop and plug it back in, the screen goes black (even though the monitor itself is on and is detected by the laptop).

Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to get the w2207 monitor up and running as soon as I get it connected to the laptop.

Thank you.
