I love my Omen Laptop. I think it performs very well as a gaming laptop. I just have one thing to say: It decides to slow down whenever it feels like it apparently.

Under normal web browsing, it goes as any laptop should go: nice and smoothly. But whenever I load up a performance-intensive game, for example, it goes fine for a few minutes, then the fps drops from 144 to like 12, and it seems like it's a cycle. FPS fine, FPS low, FPS fine, you get the idea.

And I know it's not a game issue, as the entire computer slows down to a crawl in that cycle whenever I play a demanding game.

I've tried everything, going through power settings, setting NVIDIA control panel settings to 'prefer higher performance', the whole barrel.

This issue has been going on for a month or two now, and it's bothering me more than it should. I keep my OMEN laptop in the AC almost all the time, disconnecting it when I fully shut down the laptop.

I have no idea what is happening. Thank you for your cooperation. If you need any more information just let me know.
