Product: hp 25mx
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I acquired the 25mx monitor about two months ago and bought external Logitech speaker to go with the monitor. Everything was going fine until one day when I tried to switch the audio output from my headphones (connected to my Mac) to my speakers (connected to the display port on my monitor), no audio came out the external speakers. The speakers still turn on and work with other devices and when connecting my headphones to the display port they don't work either. This is where I believe the issue is. Either with the monitor in general or just the display port.

Please let me know if anyone has had similar issues or if anyone has any tips to fix this.

PS; I've checked all the wires and that the speakers work and my settings.
