Hi,

recently I got my SSD damaged, I replaced it with an old/used SSD and tried HP consumer recovery tool to format and reinstall windows O.S to that hard drive, after doing all the procedure the recovery manager loops back to "Select an option" -File backup and Factory reset. The recovery manager doesn't proceed to Software installation (step 16 in HP consumer PCs knowledge base). HP support told me that I need to use a different device (Flashdrive) to boot the recovery because they said that my USB disconnects, but I don't understand that, the process goes on until step 15 and the computer recognize the bootable device pretty well to that point. can anyone help me?

Thank you.
