OMEN by HP - 15-ce018dx

hello! my name is jacob. the operating system for my HP omen laptop is windows 10 home.

i have a logitech usb keyboard that i plug into my laptop for gaming. i like to rest my external keyboard on top of my laptop, however, this interferes with my typing occasionally— the external keyboard presses on the internal keyboard. i have contacted windows support and after exhausting all of our efforts, they have recommended towards trying to disable the internal keyboard via BIOS method. i was wondering if i could get some assistance with this as im not entirely sure how this would work. i recall vaguely seeing a video on this and how you would access BIOS after immediately turning on your laptop (kind of like going into safe mode). any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you for your reading and your time!

p.s. if possible, i would like to perform this action very carefully and cautiously. i do not want to harm the computer or have to reset it as it is actually a friend's computer. i realize the potential consequences towards this as it involves adjusting the actual windows system.
