hello everyone,
i just had a simple question regarding usb port usage. i currently use an hp omen laptop. i have a benq monitor and logitech webcam i would like to use with it. however, both of these devices require usb-c. (if i may add, i would like to use usb-c for my monitor to maximize latency). unfortunately, i only have one usb-c port. all of the other usb-a ports are used since i have my keyboard, headset and mouse all connected.
the only solution i can think of is buying a usb-c port hub. if anyone happens to have any hub recommendations or even other solutions, please by all means! since i need a usb-c port hub with two usb-c port receivers, i was looking at the 'anker docking station, powerexpand elite 13-in-1' since it has two usb-c ports.
additionally, if i end up buying this hub, will it reduce the performance of the monitor and webcam? i would like to plug both devices into this hub for use. will this be overworking my laptop since i would practically being using every single port possible?
thank you for reading and your time. i would appreciate any help. take care and stay safe!
