HP Recommended
I was given this hp elitebook 8440p in its current condition. It had no hard drive or ram is it when i received it so I installed 4gb ram and a 500 gb hard drive from a previous labtop.

When i plugged it in with the battery installed the lightning bolt light started blinking non-stop. However after 24 hours of charging it still wont start. The screen wont even turn on and you dont hear the fans trying to start up at all when i hold the power button.

I have attempted the battery drain methods for rebooting the computer but still nothing. If you remove the battery and try to start it with just the adapter plugged in the lightning bolt blinks 8 tine then stops.

Any information involving this would help. Is it something im doing qrong or just the computer?
