HP 2000 240CA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Win 10 Home  (winver 1809 OS build 17763.253)

HP 2000 240CA Notebook     X64  (64 Bit)    AMD E 350 Processor  1600 mhz 2 core  AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics

This computer was purchased new as a Win 7

AMD Catalyst Software Suite 15.201.1151-150821a-184724E      currently installed >> asking to do this upgrade >>

>> 18.50.02-181206a

The issues I am having trouble with is:

1.)  I have been told not to do this AMD Catalyst Software Suite upgrade and told to do it.  Those who say not to, say the computer will not be able to support it correctly and it will cause all types of issues.  Something about the chipsets??  The idea, " Just because you can, does not mean you should."  was told to me.  I can not afford to mess the laptop up as I am not the most tech savy ir I get into a big mess.

Those say you need the latest and greatest say it will work better.  But if the original hardware can not run the software on this particular Notebook....maybe it is okay for others?  But I do not really know what is correct, so many different ideas about this.

2.)   Lately I have found web pages slow to load, I was figuring all the junk adds and banners that have to load are much of the culprit.  But Hotmail is almost unusable now (but I think that is a Microsoft issue, as my ISP email is fine)  Ebay is glitchy, takes for ever to load and does not seem to be able to scroll smoothly ( it seems to jump as it is likely buffering scroll movements, then jumps all over).  Some site I can  out type the computer (but it is totally fine here typing this letter, keeping right up with me)   On hotmail The cursor will lag behind the latters typed, some letter do not appear, it just does not get them, or the lag a little and eventually show up.  sometimes the computer seems slow to respond to commands from keys or mouse.

I defrag, I disk clean & system clean, I delete browser history often, clear file folder options, run eset often, run malware bytes ocassionally, run adware cleaner, try to do a restart once per month, clean temporary short cuts (%appdata%), empty recycle bin, clear out VLC recent files list,....

So I am unsure about the

AMD Catalyst Software Suite 15.201.1151-150821a-184724E      currently installed >> asking to do this upgrade >>

>> 18.50.02-181206a

I do not want to mes the laptop up as I may not be able to get it fixed.  As I said there are answers both ways...but is it correct for this particular laptop.....not .....in general?

Thanks, I know this was a long read.
