Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my AMD Radeon WX3100 (hp zbook 14u g5).

I will explain my problem according to issues i encountered when using SolidWorks 2020.

My intel 620 GPU (integrated graphics) seem to work better for solidworks then the AMD graphics, while the amd card i have is certified and specifically for "heavy" cad-design. When using AMD Radeon graphics only for solidworks, results in a lot of lag and crashing.

To solve this problem i tried new settings of powerplan, optimal graphics for SolidWorks application, optimal settings within the AMD Radeon configuration etc, but nothing really worked.

Now i think i recently found a possible (temporarily) fix for this, by powering my zbook only when plugged in and this seem to work for better performance of my AMD Radeon graphics within solidworks, but this should not be the correct fix!

I would like to know if someone else here have encountered similar problems in which the AMD Radeon have bad performance in 3D-cad software, although the settings such as power plan, optimal performance etc have already optimised.

I have the latest windows 10 version and installed the latest drivers for the AMD gpu.

I will look forward for your answers!
