HP Envy 15 x360 (2020)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I really like my new HP Envy 15 x360 laptop. I really do. When selecting, I paid no attention to whether it allows to save the battery by decreasing its charging threshold. It didn't occur to me that in 2020 HP would still not implement it in all lines.

HP calls this "Battery Health Management" and started rolling out the feature few years ago only on some product lines.

It is absolutely environmentally hostile that this feature isn't already on all new laptops, little own that even cheaper lines like ProBooks have this essential features, while more expensive line like the Envy doesn't.

Please direct the effort in your company to reduce e-waste at least with this step.

I know that some older laptop models got this feature as a BIOS update - so it shouldn't be unrealistic to add it to other lines too.

Needless to say, I am returning my unit for now and am looking at a comparable ThinkPad.
