Hi
My HP ProBook 450 G6 currently has 128GB SATA M.2 card and I intend to upgrade to a 256GB (HP EX900) or a 512GB (HP EX 900 or Crucial P1) NVMe card.
I had the same question as the OP in this previous post . Upon checking the parts store and the manual, I was able to retrieve the following details of parts.
L45122-001 Solid-state drive 16GB PCIe NVMe
L45123-001 Solid-state drive 128GB M2 SATA-3 TLC
L45124-001 Solid-state drive 256GB PCIe NVMe Value
L45125-001 Solid-state drive 512GB PCIe NVMe TLC
I know TLC and QLC SSDs but not sure what is meant by 'NVMe Value' (SSD). A Google search didn't yield any useful result. Could you please clarify?
Additionally, does this mean that the M.2 socket is incompatible with larger size SSDs like 1TB/2TB?
Thank you
