Hey all,

I upgraded my internal HHD to a Crucial m2 SSD (this is now my boot drive) I used Aomei partition software to clone my old spinning disk hhd to my new m2 ssd. everything worked great, it booted fine, ran fast. I then removed the old hhd and replaced it with a 2.5" Samsung 850 pro SSD (storage drive) This also worked great after installation. The issue I am having now is with all my external USB drives. Every time i plug them in they do not show up in file folder and I can not access any data on them. They do show up in disk management but they do not have a drive letter attached. In disk management if I right click the drive and try to change the drive letter I get an error which i have provided a photo below. the error says

"The operation failed to complete because the disk management console view is not up-to-date. Refresh the view by using the refresh task. If the problem persists close the disk management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer."

Note: this same error happened with multiple external usb drives all of them used to work fine on my computer before

I then tried to change the drive letter inside Aomei Partition software when i went to apply the change I got the following error

Oddly after i close this error message i noticed in file folder the drive I was working with randomly popped up in file folder and had been give the letter G: I could open the drive and access file. I did nothing other then try to change the drives letter in Aomei and failed getting the error message above. I then wanted to see if the drive would work again if I safely disconnect it and re connected it. After ejecting and physically disconnecting the drive I was working with I went to file folder and there was still a fake drive there labeled Local Disk G: mind you no external drive is connected to my computer at this point I clicked on the Local Disk G: and go this error message.

I tried plugging the hard drive in again to see if anything would happen and it does not connect normally.  It shows in disk management with no drive letter assign and now the Local Disk G: in the file folder is still there but you cant access files or anything. I have no idea what happened. all of these external drives used to work fine on this system before the I upgraded and made my m2 ssd a boot drive. Any one know how i can solve this I do not want to lose the data on the drives. If it was just 1 drive not working I would say maybe it crashed by 5-7 different hard drives seems so odd to me. Other then this issue my system is working flawlessly. Thanks for the help!

Included a screen shot below of my disk management incase it helps.
