Does one need to install the "ArcSoft Webcam Sharing Manager"?
Does it also work under Windows 10? (HP Elitebook 8570w with integrated webcam)
My understanding is, that the ArcSoft Webcam Sharing Manager allows to use the webcam by different applications at the same time.
I installed the ArcSoft Webcam Sharing Manager on Windows 10. The driver is listed on the HP page under the Windows 7 section only. However, at least according to the device manager it seems to function also on Windows 10. I did however not find a place or way to start and or configure this Sharing Manager. When I start the standard Windows 10 camera application, the "front camera" works perfectly and always. The camera application DOES allow me to switch to the "ArcSoft Webcam Sharing Manager". However the screen in the latter case stays black. More exactly I should say: It stays "mostly" black. Because once in a while the latter DOES work. I am a bit confused.
Perhaps someone can help or at least share their experience with this.
