Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

I have just performed Software Update and  'Sound Research Corp. - 2.0.10.5'  driver update through system updates, and the result was worse than horrible. The B&O app stopped working and sound is now nearly gone missing. In fact the volume slider is now automatically adjusted to 66 and is barely audible.

I uninstalled the above Sound Research driver from Device Manager and rolled back to a driver from 2019 which didn't make any difference after rebooting my laptop.  I tried again with other drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalogue from 2020, but result was the same. Nothing works and sound is very very poor.

I also switched on and off the B&O app, but this didn't make any sound difference, obviously the app is not working after the above updates even with the removed driver above.

I genuinely believe that any system / driver updates Windows releases are general and there should be a warning message coming for eventual device incompatibilities. Because obviously the above driver (obviously third party) is incompatible with HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Convertible!

I had a really good loud & clear sound till last night and B&O app was working. The above update was done just an hour ago or so.

Can anyone please advise how to bring back to life the B&O app, and have the sound working properly?

Many thanks.
