HP Recommended
15-AC 107NA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 15-AC 107 NA with the Intel  3825U processor

The installed BIOS version is F.30

The latest BIOS is listed as F29 RevA and is installed across a range of these machines.

The Insydeflash utility available from the HP site grays out the update and says it is incompatible and installing the files directly in the EFI partition gets the message " unable to open signature file " using the UEFI diags routine. Similarly from a USB recovery disk.

I have tried every way I can think of to rollback using the UEFI diags etc and the unable to open signature file always comes up whether I try to upgrade or rollback.

Where did this F.30 BIOS come from anyway? was it installed by mistake.....I really don't know but it causes issues with battery charging and if I'm stuck with it then the machine can only work off external power as the battery discharges. The battery can be charged just fine with an external standalone charger and will charge from the laptop if the power remains above about 20% however once the battery voltage drops below a certain level it will not charge again.

Can you please give me a way of installing F29 Rev A which is the current recommended BIOS.

Thanks in advance
