I did a repartition, reformat, and fresh load of Windows 10 x64 v.1903 from an oem flash disk (I use it several times per week on a variety of computers). Then installed all available Win10 v.1903 drivers manually from HP 250 G6 Driver Support page for this model/serial no. Rebooted multiple times while doing that (no issues). Ran all available Windows 10 updates from Microsoft, reboot, update, reboot, update, until said there were no more. Device Manager was happy (no uninstalled drivers). Then I installed Chrome, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office 2016. No issues to this point - multiple reboots. Then I installed the latest version of HP Support Assistant from HP and had it check for driver updates. The only thing it showed was a BIOS update to F.60 so I selected it and ran the installation. The laptop rebooted, black screened, and now is completely dead. I tried downloading the latest BIOS (F.60) on another PC and creating a BIOS recovery flash disk using HPs procedure (holding Windows Key + "B" on boot. No joy. Tried each of the 3 USB ports. No joy. Created the recovery flash disk to a different brand USB flash drive. No joy. Opened up laptop, removed main battery, removed watch battery, held down power button. Put it back together and repeated above BIOS recovery attempts. No joy. QUESTION: Do you think this thing is bricked permanently? Anything else I should try?
