HP Recommended
Product: HP 255G5 Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can anyone tell me why HP would recommend (through HP Assistant Updates) a BIOS upgrade which shut my, and it appears many other people's, systems down and caused major chaos and turmoil to so many users.

I am thoroughly fed up with this, my Notebook is only a few days old and now I can't use it.  I'm not a Techy, I bought this machine because it had HP's reputation behind it.  Now that reputation, in my view, is completely shot!

Not happy!
