Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I’ve had 10% per day battery discharge from new but now I’m out of warranty and left with a lemon. I’ve gone through a few things now and left baffled.

I’ve updated drivers, added a new hard drive with a fresh install of windows 10/64.

I’ve shutdown windows in many ways e.g. shift button, alt/F4/power button held etc. No luck.

Disabled fast start up.

Latest Bios turned and also turned off usb power and wake on lan etc with this.

Command lines etc.

Could not find a Sphinx update.

Phone tech were baffled, remote assistance and gave up by saying buy a new battery and see what happens but told me the battery is fine.

With my laptop at 100% charge, I’ve unplugged the battery.

0 Hrs 100%

24 hrs 93%

48 hrs 92%

60 hrs 92%.  Best I’ve seen it in over 2 years.

So it looks the like battery charges to 93% but shows 100% in windows  or initial discharge of 7%, that’s ok.

The battery looks good as it is holding changed when unplugged from the motherboard.

Battery plugged in and it loses so much when shutdown, it’s dead after 7 days.

I’m left thinking either Windows 10 has a driver issue or HP have a bios or motherboard issue.

My other laptop have been 100% for a 5 days on windows shutdown.

So now what do I do or check?

Thanks!
